Prices are calculated per size and complexity of the painting. A 50% deposit is required to begin a commission. A digital image of the painting will be sent via email for your approval. And the remaining balance is due upon delivery of the original pastel painting.

All artwork is created using Rembrandt, Schminke and Winston Newton pastels on quality 160 g/m2 Strathmore 19” x 25” inch paper. Strathmore is a fiber-enhanced, acid free pastel paper ideally suited for soft pastels. It also contains over 10% post-consumer recycled fiber.

Finished works are mailed to you in a mailing tube. Instructions on how to frame the painting in order to maximize its durability are included.

Choosing the photographs:

• For best results, select a clear photograph(s) of the Subject(s).
  
• Select a photo(s) which best represent the subject's personality or character.
  
• The photograph can be as small as 5" x  3.5".
  
• Several photos are helpful for reference for the artist.
  
• The Subjects (people and/or pets) can be combined in a portrait from separate photographs.
  
• Portraits are created in monochromatic tones or in color.
  
• Images may be sent by e-mail in JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPE) format or copies can be sent by mail.
  
• The better the quality and focus, the more details in the portrait.
  
• The artist can make arrangements to take photographs in the studio or at your residence.
